>> This summer has been an amazing, major growing experience in my life and winning the skim USA tour in women’s pro was an added bonus! When I moved back east from California in May, I wasn’t sure that I could compete in all of the contests on the tour.
I was starting back at my old job which requires a lot of dedicated time and funds were pretty low. Staying organized, keeping a positive mind, and sending out good vibes is what allowed me to make it to almost every contest this summer.
2013 is the first year that women’s pro has been involved in the skim USA tour and also the UST. I am the first woman to ever win the women’s pro tour for skim USA: honestly, this is a thought that I can barely comprehend. The feeling is unreal…
… It makes me want to cry, laugh, smile, and throw up all at the same time.
I want to send a huge thanks and so much love to every woman that competed in pro this year. Without your dedication and love for our sport we would never have a pro division. Every single one of you are beautiful and extremely talented…therefore my nerves were out of control in every single heat this year at every single contest!
Victoria Skimboards thank you for putting your faith in me many years ago when barely anyone knew who I was in our sport and for your continuous support throughout the years…
… I love all of you!
Skim City Greg thank you for always believing in me and pushing me to do better.
Billy with NVR Strings thank you also for putting your faith in me when I sent you an email hoping to be added to your team two years ago!
Mr. Eelsnot himself thank you for always being such a great friend and an awesome person!
The last contest for me this year will be Oktoberfest next month at Balboa Pier- the last stop on the women’s UST for 2013! I hope to see you all there to have fun and make some awesome memories…
… Cheers to 2014!
