The Outerbanks Skim Jam displayed some of the most technical skimboarding seen in competitive history. Over 150 contestants entered. The Professional division had a very stacked 35 pros. Skimboarders were gifted some of the best conditions North Carolina has seen in years. And the VIC team took full advantage! We had a large showing of riders from all age divisions that put on a very exciting show. The competitors were gifted with knee to waist high glassy conditions throughout most of the event. Professional rider Paddy Mack (@paddymack) earned himself a top 8 finish, as well as Women’s Professional Rider Amber Torrealba (@ambertorrealba) earning a solid 3rd place finish. Cooper Forcucci (@cooperforcucci) impressed the crowd throughout the entire weekend and made the podium in both Semi Pro taking on riders twice his age and in his Boys 12-14 division. @Skimusa staff and volunteers did an excellent job hosting this event. !!! Overall, we would call stop #2 of the @unitedskimtour a great success!
