We wanted to take a moment to wish these 2 legends of the sport a very happy birthday! Funny fact that they share this same date for birthday.
Tex founded Victoria Skimboards back in 1976 along with partner Peter Prietto, hosting the longest running and most prestigious skim contest the VIC. And on a weekly basis you will see him host Saturday Sessions in Laguna, bringing hot coffee and donuts to everyone present, giving tips and letting anyone borrow and try the latest shapes and creations he will come up with. After that he will pick up trash for an hour, not only Saturday but everyday, anywhere that he’s at, park, trail, beach… We all wish him a very happy birthday from the entire skim community Worldwide.
Johnny Weber is also a great source of inspiration for any skimboarder out there. His style and ease at riding are unique, not only on a skimboard but any board he can get his hands on. You can see it for yourself in the beautiful video EASY SLIDER filmed and editied by Skylar Wilson, where Johnny has a jaw dropping part. Last year Tex had the immense pleasure to be the first one to announce and congratulate Johnny for winning the ultimate trophy when he won the annual VIC in 2021. That was a very special moment.
